I’m trying to be a bit over creative and over ambitous here, maybe. Comic strips tend to be a little choppy. Comic books well tent to flow better. When I collect the comic strips into a book, I will try to smoothen the edges and add a new layer to the story, figuratively speaking:) This way the experience of reading the strip will be a different experience from reading the book. (what follows is how this comic might recombine in a book format)

I asked my friends on twitter, what’s the best part of a comic con, and the their answers we’re invariably: ” Meeting people. Creators want to meet fans, fans want to meet creators, and every one wants to go for drinks later!

I’m going to try to emulate that in MiniComic Con 2

(and after that, everyone can mingle with virtual beers in the comments section)

NOTE: if you’re wondering what’s MAYA in the strip above (I’m telling even if you’re not wondering) it’s, Sanskrit for shadow or veil, it’s the cloudiness that keeps a person from doing what’s right. Less Maya is better. Anything above half the total value of maya makes the character a generally bad person, a person with less than half maya is generally good.

I had a good time drawing this strip, for lack of a better word, it felt ‘easy’ You know I never knew when I started this story that apar from enjoying making this comic, that I would actually enjoy reading it too. Hope it was as good for you as it was for me:)

1. This strip is late. I’m sorry.

2. I am Relieved that Obama won the US elections. I mean if he didn’t then we would have had a problem. Good job to the guys who voted. I mean this guy inspires me.

[Shop talk] I’ve decided to handletter and draw the speech baloons right into the final artwork from now on. I’ll discuss the reasons for this in the next LOTJ Segment.

I had so many story points, I didn’t know which to draw, as the first ‘Sunday’ strip. So I took a vote on twitter, and most voted for Dwarves. So here they are about to barge in on the story. As always you’re welcome to leave comments to influence how the story unfolds!
