Reservoirs - 0

“If then you are wise, you will show yourself as a reservoir than as a canal. For a canal spreads abroad before overflowing, and thus communicated, without loss to itself, it’s super abundand water. In Church we have many canals, few reservoirs”

Gandalf Type - 0

So I did miss my train! There’s a metaphore in that isn’t there? But lets not read too deep into that. I managed to get a seat on a bus though.

The bus was late, gotta love the irony. I stayed sane by meditating on God’s word. I’ll have to talk to you about this kind of meditation some time.

Eventually the bust arrived. I only spent 20 minutes of my 4 and a half hour busride awake. When I got to KL It was 4am. A friend picked me up, and I spent another 3 hours sleeping at his place.

 10.pm. Art Class.

It’s a good thing that I’m truly passionate about teaching art. The passion gets me through days like this. The class was a success and by this I mean the students left happy with their paintings.

After a quick lunch. I’m ferried off to an Art event organized by the creative united movement. It was an event designed to bring artist together, like networking for creatives. There was music, an art loving crowd , and a live painting session in front of an audience.

I enjoyed it, it was like being an artist rockstar.

But now lying on my bed after a long tiring day, I find I enjoy teaching more. I think I’m just more if the gandalf type.

Post con. - 0

Post con.

I got back from the comic con in Singapore on Monday. Now I’m all packed and waiting to do some travelling again.

If the ferry comes soon. And I don’t miss my train, I’ll be on my way to KL. Teaching, doing some performance art, hanging out with an artist in his studio, visiting art galleries, meeting up clients, and working on some prelem illustrations.

Some where in there I’ll also have to get out a couple of Fantasy Story strips out. Yeah, I’m living the artist life! It can be done. We work odd hours, and the income fluctuates, but with a little intelligence and a lot of faith… It can be done. It’s a calling. If you here the call. Answer it!

 See you in KL!

How I spent my Twitter Down time. - 0

Twitter is down.

This used to happen a lot, some people stopped using twitter because of that. I stuck at it, followed a lot of people, had people follow me back.
and made some friends from around the world.

I use twitter to note down my experience.
Ask others for opinions and advice.
And once in a while I use it to pimp my webcomic.
I also use it to see what’s going on around the world at a glance, the things people are doing.

Often times, the answer to twitter’s simple question, “What are you doing now?” , inspires me.

So I’m used to be connected to thousands of people from around the world. Now that it’s down, I ’see’ what a big part of my life twitter has become, that said, perhaps it’s also taken away some of my life….

Here are some of the things I did during twitter’s downtime.

1.Popped my head into my mom’s room and asked her how she was doing.
2.Posted on facebook.
3.Googled to see if I could get an update on why twitter was down.
4.Popped into my kid sisters room. And had great fun playing Mario Kart with her.
5.Thought of writing my tweets in ‘Birdhouse’. An iPhone app that lets you write tweets to post later.
6.Thought of writing in my Moleskine. (we all know I don’t really do that much anymore)
7.Posted my webcomic.
8.Wrote a blogpost on posterous.
9.And now I’m going to read a book.

I miss you guy’s on twitter, so let me suggest a….

Twitter Downtime Emergency Plan.

1. Friend me on facebook, common I know you have Facebook too=)
2. Start a posterous blog, it’s really cool, Like twitter without a word limit. (we could do the follow each other thing here as well)
3. Email me, @ numediaartist@gmail.com you know, just to chat, and we could save each other’s emails as contacts, I’d love to get to know you better. Um, I think =)

YOUR TURN.

What did you do during the twitter outage? and what’s your twitter down emergency plan?

I’d Love to hear from you in the comments!

ps: oh and if you want to know why twitter is down, here’s a link.

Business Guys on Business Trips - 0

I stumbled upon this website with wonderful cartoons, (or whatever you call them) . They are both funny and addictive.

Oddly, there is no artist to take credit for this work. There is no about page. Just a collections of cartoons, surrounded by subtle ads. Theres nothing else to click but ads. I guess that’s the point.
