”Ah the noise and bustle of a tavern. Merry making. Glasses chinking. And shodowy things going on in shadowy corners. The chandellier is new, a gift from the former queen of Greystone, at the foothills of The Earth Spike. Or so goes the story.

  Stories. More valuabale than gold and ale in Papa Dragon’s and many a tale spinner has traded his tale for a meal. Maybe YOU have a tale to share, you think to yourself.”

Just then, the bartender bends down slightly lower than she needs to, looks up at your wandering eyes and asks as a matter of fact, “What will you be having, then Stranger?” – “I Jest. There are no stranges here”, she says with her famous smile.

AN INTRODUCTION:

 Being a cartoonist, I very often have people coming up to me saying something like: ‘Hey you should do a story about this or that’. Fantasy Story is that story, ‘your story’, drawn by me. The TAVERN, is the place to have your say. BUT only if you play along. It’s like a game you can play whenever you like.

THE GAME RULES: 

This game is played by leaving comments, but here’s the catch, you must ROLE PLAY, or act out your comments. The setting is always the same, Papa Dragon’s Tavern a place that exist in the fantasy story world of Gorf, as well as Cyberspace.

The introductory paragraph will set the mood, and theme for your comments. The following are some suggestions of the type of comments you could leave. (see comments section for examples)

RUMOR: Rumors are the most common bits of conversation exchanged in a tavern. The Rumors you leave become a very part of the fabric of the fantasy world of Gorf. (the characters in the comic will on their adventures confirm or deny these rumors, but the rumors will always be the premise for future adventures).

Spread Rumors of creatures and far away lands, crooks and heroes! And watch them come alive in the comic strip.

ARGUMENT: Once a rumor has been laid down there is sure to be an old geezer or greenhorn adventurer to argue the fact. These Arguments build the myth! Remember to Role Play your arguments, for example come as a brave knight or crooked goblin in your arguments. Standing firm to your point of view

Warning: Like in a real tavern if you start a brawl you risk being thrown out!

CHATTER: Don’t feel like laying a brick in the grand mythology of Gorf. You can still play by adding ambient Tavern noise, by for example chatting up the bartender. Try to limit your chatter to 120 characters, and you just might find it retweeted on twitter! (the 120 character limit is only for ‘chatter’)

TALL TALE: Like a rumor, except it has a beginning a middle and an end. Grab the attention of the patrons of the bar with grand tales and adventures, You may tell your grand story over a series of comments, or as one really long comment! Try it and be prepared for the cheer of the tavern!

Questions: Feel free to question a rumor, tall tale, or even chatter interact with the other patrons,as well as the occasional Fantasy Story Character that may be in the bar=)
